Thermoplastic Hose

SYNFLEX R8 HIGH-PRESSURE HOSE

Working Pressure:

From 2,000 to 5,000 psi (138 to 345 bar). Meets SAE Specification 100R8

APPLICATIONS:

  • General Hydraulics
  • Construction Equipment
  • Logging Equipment
  • Oil Field Equipment
  • Mobile Equipment
  • Hydraulic Tools

SYNFLEX R8 High Pressure Hose
SYNFLEX R8NC Non Conductive High Pressure Hose
SYNFLEX R8 Twinline High Pressure Hos
FEATURES:

Two Types:

Synflex Series 3R80 for general high-pressure pneumatic and hydraulic service has black polyurethane perforated cover.

Synflex Series 3E80 (non conductive)* for high-pressure applications requiring electrical isolation has orange non-perforated polyurethane cover.

Temperature Range:

Suitable for continuous service at temperatures from -40°F to +212°F (-40°C to +100°C), with no after-curing of thermoplastics at recommended elevated temperatures.

Lightweight and Compact:

Synflex Series 3R80 Hose weights as little as one-third as much as rubber-and-wire hose of equal capacity and its O.D. is smaller, although the I.D. is equal. This makes Synflex 3R80 easier to handle and easier to install in close quarters. Availability in long continuous lengths minimises waste and scrap.

Chemical Resistance:

With the great majority of commonly used chemicals, Synflex Series 3R80 Hose shows excellent resistance to attack and premature aging.

Low Elongation:

Elongation at working pressures is only ± 2%. This enables you to cut hose to closer lengths without guessing at elongation allowances.

Durability:

On the outside, Synflex 3R80 Hose has a tough, rugged cover that withstands abrasion, certain industrial chemicals and impact better than rubber. On the inside, the smooth nylon core minimises erosion and attack by almost all chemicals and fluids. Synflex 3R80 Hose has a fatigue resistant multi-braided fibre reinforcement which stands up to tough pressure impulsing conditions.

SYNFLEX R7 MEDIUM-HIGH PRESSURE HOSE
Working Pressure:

From 1,000 to 3,000 psi (69 to 207 bar). Meets SAE Specification 100R7.

APPLICATIONS:

  • Machine Tools
  • Agricultural Equipment
  • Mobile Hydraulics
  • Factory Automation
  • Refrigeration Service
  • Lubrication Systems

SYNFLEX R7 High Pressure Hose
SYNFLEX R7NC Non Conductive High Pressure Hose
SYNFLEX R7 Twinline High Pressure Hose
FEATURES:

Clean.

Synflex 3130 hose is free from manufacturing aids which may contaminate the working fluid.

No Friction Wear.

Satin-smooth, relatively non-absorbent core assures predictable delivery of oil for the life of the hose. Recommended velocity rates are higher than that for rubber hose of equal I.D. Smoother flow lessens heat build-up.

Broad Temperature Range.

Hose is suitable for continuous hydraulic service at temperatures from -40°F to 212°F (-40°C to 100°C). Synflex thermoplastic materials do not after-cure in service.

Compact.

The O.D. of each size is smaller than for rubber/wire braid hose, with no reduction of the I.D. This permits easier and faster installation in congested locations.

Longer Life.

Synthetic fibre reinforcing eliminates wire that often fatigues, breaks and may puncture the core tube. Costly downtime is minimised.

Lighter Weight.

Synflex hose weights only about half as much as comparable rubber/wire hose.

Oil-Resistant.

Thermoplastic core tube is resistant to practically all oils and hydraulic fluids. It will not swell nor absorb fluids which can cause restriction of the I.D., or release contaminants into the system.

Low Elongation.

At working pressure, elongation is only ±2% or less. This low, fully predictable factor enables you to cut hose to accurate lengths, without guesswork.

Hoses are joined permanently, without mechanical devices, to form a flat, compact, flexible multi-line that is readily reeled onto storage and payout reels on aerial lifts, hydraulic cranes and portable fluid-dispensing equipment. Twin-line hose can be readily separated at the ends to permit attaching couplings and accessories.
